Austin Telco Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of Robert Hernandez as the credit union’s new President and Chief Executive Officer.

Robert is extraordinarily qualified to lead us on our continuing journey of exceptional member experience, growth, and new opportunities for the credit union and our members.”
Robert has served as Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer at Austin Telco FCU since 2010 and was previously the Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer at Greater Texas Federal Credit Union. Robert has more than 27 years of experience in the credit union industry. Throughout his career, Robert has positively represented and promoted the credit union philosophy of people helping people within the financial industry and within the local community; advocated and promoted credit union services for all including the under-represented, underserved, and less privileged. Robert holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas.
When asked about his new position, Hernandez stated, “I am grateful to the Board for selecting me to lead Austin Telco, I am excited about the opportunity to collaborate with a management team that has been successful in directing a strong and healthy credit union and I am looking forward to an exciting future for Austin Telco,” said Hernandez.
