Aventa Credit Union announces consumer lending manager

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (April 13, 2015) — Aventa Credit Union recently named Shannon Watkins as its Consumer Lending Manager. Watkins has more than twenty years of experience in the financial services industry.

As Consumer Lending Manager, Watkins will oversee the day-to-day consumer lending activities and will supervise Aventa’s Consumer Lending Specialists. Watkins will also oversee the approval of all consumer loans and make sure that they are in accordance with all credit union policies.

Prior to coming to Aventa, Watkins worked for UMB Bank in Colorado Springs as their Client Relationship Manager and worked for five years at Meritrust Credit Union in Kansas as their Branch Manager and as their Director of Market Development. Watkins holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Troy University in Alabama.
