Aventa Credit Union announces new Senior Vice President of Technology

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (March 31, 2015) — Aventa Credit Union recently named Patrick Durkin as its Senior Vice President of Technology. Durkin has more than twenty years of experience as an Information Technology professional.

As Senior Vice President of Technology, Durkin will direct the daily administration of the Information Technology and Records Retention Departments and will assure that the daily functions of the Information Technology Department are a priority. Durkin will also develop and implement long-range strategic initiatives and plans.

Prior to coming to Aventa, Durkin worked for eight years at Freedom Credit Union in Pennsylvania as their Vice President of Technology and spent thirteen years working for GlaxoSmithKline in various Information Technology roles. Durkin holds a Bachelor of Science in Management of Information Systems degree from Saint Joseph University and holds a Master of Science in Instructional Technologies degree from Philadelphia University.
