On July 16, 2021, Aventa Credit Union hosted their 2nd Electronic Waste Event. Through a longstanding partnership held with local business, Blue Star Recyclers, Aventa provided a second opportunity for the membership to "Clear out the Clutter!" The event gave the membership and community an opportunity to safely and efficiently dispose of electronics while being conscious of protecting any personal information. It was hosted at their Cascade location in Colorado Springs, free of charge. Aventa held their first electronic waste event in 2019 and saw a great response from the community. This year's event allowed for more than 11,500 lbs. of material to be safely destroyed or recycled. This was a combination of computers, displays, general e-waste, media tapes and discs. Aventa Credit Union remains committed to delivering financial solutions to their membership while also serving their community through events like these.
