Bethpage Federal Credit Union names Wayne Grossé as President and CEO

Former Chief Operating Officer, Made Interim CEO in October, Appointed to Permanent Top Position of NY’s Largest Credit Union

BETHPAGE, NY (January 19, 2015) — Bethpage Federal Credit Union, New York State’s largest credit union and Long Island’s leading community financial institution, today appointed Wayne Grossé as President and Chief Executive Officer, it was announced by Don Balducci, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Grossé, who has been with Bethpage in senior executive management roles for more than 15 years, was named interim CEO in October 2014.

“After a deliberative process and review of potential candidates, we believe that Wayne Grossé has the vision, leadership abilities and financial industry experience to continue the fiscal strength and integrity of Bethpage Federal Credit Union and its $5.8 billion in assets moving forward,” said Balducci. 

“I am appreciative of the great trust and confidence the Board of Directors has placed in me, and look forward to continuing to work with our dynamic team on behalf of our 250,000 members, and the Long Island communities which we serve,” said Grossé. “With 33 branch locations, 60 shared service centers and over 425 surcharge-free ATMs throughout Nassau and Suffolk, we will continue to grow and enhance the value and convenience provided to our members.”

Grossé, 56, a resident of Bayport, joined Bethpage in 1999 and has served, most recently, as Chief Operating Officer. As lead member of the executive management team, he oversaw Bethpage’s growth into the largest credit union on Long Island and now the largest in New York State, with over $5.8 billion in assets.  He is chair-elect of the Family Service League and serves on the Farmingdale State College Foundation.
