Bethpage Federal Credit Union opens first Branch in New Jersey

15th largest credit union in the United States opens doors in Cherry Hill, NJ – marking its first expansion outside of New York state

BETHPAGE, NY (April 24, 2024)Bethpage Federal Credit Union has officially opened the doors to its newest branch in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Located at 56 Haddonfield Road, this branch is Bethpage’s first location outside of New York, marking a significant milestone in the credit union’s growth strategy within the tri-state area. Bethpage is currently the 15th largest credit union in the United States with 35 branch locations.

“We are so excited to continue our expansion into new markets and bring our vision of enriching the lives of our members and communities to Cherry Hill, New Jersey,” said Linda Armyn, President and CEO, Bethpage. “Our Cherry Hill branch manager, Jonathan Jacobs, and his team have already been out and about in the community, meeting with local organizations, and introducing Bethpage to the neighborhood. We look forward to serving this vibrant community and welcoming new friends and families to experience banking with us.”

The Cherry Hill branch has a smaller footprint, similar to the branches recently opened in Ozone Park and Sunnyside. New members will be welcomed by Jacobs and the two assistant branch managers Adedeji Olusanya and Kendra Long.

“Every one of our 35 branch locations has the same core mission – to provide members with personal care, prompt service, and an overall enjoyable banking experience,” said Emilio Cooper, Chief Deposit Officer, Bethpage. “As a credit union, we believe banking is more than just about numbers. We truly want to help members with great rates, low fees, and innovative services to help them achieve their financial goals.”

Beyond financial offerings, Bethpage has also long been regarded as a generous and valued partner to the communities it serves. Through charitable giving, volunteerism, and community partnerships, Bethpage is committed to making the lives of its members and communities better. Bethpage invites the Cherry Hill community to participate in the Bethpage Difference Makers program where a child or youth group (e.g., after school program, community group, sports team, school club) can apply for financial support. The program aims to empower young individuals to come together and become more involved by linking their passions with the need of local communities.

“Bethpage is so much more than banking,” said Jonathan Jacobs, Cherry Hill branch manager. “For more than 20 years, Bethpage has made it a priority to give back to our communities through employee volunteering and charitable giving. I look forward to working with local organizations and businesses to enrich the lives of all of us who love Cherry Hill.”

The Cherry Hill branch was built with sustainability in mind, using recycled materials and custom, pre-fabricated, modular designs, providing additional benefits to the communities during and after construction. All unit materials including lumber, millwork, and laminate used for the construction are UL Greenguard Gold Standard certified with low VOC content and emissions as well as New York City MEA Approved.

The Bethpage Cherry Hill branch is open 9am-5pm Mondays through Fridays, 9am-12pm Saturdays. For more information on Bethpage’s savings, lending, and investment offerings, please visit: www.lovebethpage.com/nj.
