BlueShore Financial becomes production sponsor for Bard on the Beach

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA (February 4, 2014 )– BlueShore Financial and Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival are pleased to announce that BlueShore Financial will be a production sponsor for the 2014 season. The partnership comes at an auspicious time for both organizations; for BlueShore Financial as they continue to increase awareness around their new name, and for Bard on the Beach, as they celebrate their 25th season this summer.

“Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival is an iconic West Coast event,” said BlueShore Financial President and CEO, Chris Catliff. “Our partnership is a natural fit. It combines BlueShore Financial’s commitment to community and cultural wellness with Bard on the Beach’s vision to create an enduring contribution to the cultural fabric of the community.”

BlueShore Financial is sponsoring the upcoming production of Equivocation. This contemporary play, written by Bill Cain, brings palace intrigue and backstage humour together in a truly entertaining examination of Elizabethan theatre.

“To salute our 25 years we have a season that encompasses Bard’s evolution throughout the years,” said Artistic Director Christopher Gaze. “We are very pleased to forge this new partnership with BlueShore Financial as sponsor of Equivocation; a relatively new play set in Shakespeare’s world. I’m confident 2014 will be a landmark season.”

Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival is one of Canada’s largest not-for-profit, professional Shakespeare festivals. Presented in a magnificent setting on the waterfront in Vancouver’s Vanier Park, the Festival presents Shakespeare’s plays, related dramas, and a variety of special events in two modern performance tents. Bard on the Beach’s 2014 season will run June 11 to September 20. Tickets go on sale on April 1st and will be available through the Bard website – www.bardonthebeach.org – or by calling the Bard Box Office.
