Bopha Peou joins Align Credit Union’s Mortgage Team
Align Credit Union is pleased to announce that Bopha Peou has joined the Mortgage Team as Mortgage Originator. She is based out of the Lowell office at 87 Hale Street and serves Align’s Members in the Greater Lowell area. Bopha is responsible for evaluating, educating, advising and guiding Members through the entire home loan approval process from pre-approvals to closing. She also works with realtors, financial planners and other resources to identify potential homebuyers, especially in the Khmer community, who would benefit from her guidance, knowledge and expertise.
Bopha has been a Mortgage Originator for over 15 years. She is a Certified Mortgage Originator and licensed by NMLS (#49512) and is a Massachusetts Licensed Real Estate Broker (#9510015). She is fluent in English, Khmer and Vietnamese.
Bopha served as the Lowell Housing Commissioner from 2013-2018 and was on the Advisory Board for the Salvation Army. She also worked for Community Teamwork, a Greater Lowell non-profit Community Action Agency, from 2012-2015. During her time at the agency, she was instrumental in acquiring significant increases in state funding for the RAFT (Residential Assistance for Families in Transition) program which provides short-term financial assistance to families who are homeless or at the risk of homelessness. Bopha is a volunteer at the Cambodian National Rescue Party, an Advisory Board Member of the Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) and Chairwoman of The Phnom Dangrek Foundation.
Bopha lives in Lowell, Massachusetts with her two children.
