Breakwater Federal Credit Union is now accepting reservations for its 72nd Annual Business Meeting & Dinner, set to take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. Doors open at 5PM and dinner will be served at 6PM. The dinner is served at no cost to Breakwater members and their guests. Members should RSVP no later than Tuesday, April 7, 2026 so final dinner arrangements can be confirmed. RSVPS can be made online or by calling Breakwater Federal Credit Union at 906-482-5005.
There are three open board positions to be voted on at this year’s annual business meeting. Incumbent Steve Patchin will run for another term. Members who are interested in serving on the Board of Directors and who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply. A full position description, eligibility requirements, and the application can be found online.
As part of the annual meeting, Breakwater will announce the winners of this year’s scholarship program. Three $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who are members of Breakwater FCU and planning to enroll in a post-secondary education program during the next school year. Two of the scholarships will be open to all applicants, while the third will be awarded to a first-generation student as they take the first step toward higher education in their family. We are looking forward to reviewing this year’s applications and encourage students to apply no later than Friday, March 27, 2026.
In addition to honoring our scholarship recipients, we will also award our annual community donation to a local organization making a meaningful impact. These presentations reflect our continued commitment to investing in education, strengthening local partnerships, and supporting the communities we are proud to serve.
