Breakwater Federal Credit Union invites community members to help fight food insecurity by participating in a food drive benefiting the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank in Hancock, MI.
Beginning on Monday, July 27 and continuing through Friday, August 7, donations of non-perishable food items and essential toiletries can be dropped off at Breakwater Federal Credit Union during regular business hours.
St. Vincent de Paul serves individuals and families throughout the Copper Country by providing food and emergency financial assistance to those experiencing hardship. Donations collected during the food drive will help stock the food bank's shelves and provide essential items to local community members in need.
Items currently in high demand include:
- Pasta and pasta sauce
- Jam
- 18 oz. peanut butter
- Soup
- Bottled juice
- Boxed potatoes
- Salad dressings
- Paper towels
- Facial tissues (Kleenex)
- Men's and women's deodorant
- Shampoo
- Toothpaste
Please note that canned beans are not needed at this time.
