Brock Bowers, Tight-End for Georgia, and Malaki Starks, Cornerback for Georgia, took time off the field to give back to their community. The Georgia football stars teamed up with Associated Credit Union and Dick’s Sporting Goods to take 16 students shopping for Christmas. The event gave each student a $300 Associated Credit Union holiday gift card to use on any merchandise in Dick’s Sporting Goods. The trip was coordinated by Everett Sports Marketing (ESM), which represents both athletes in NIL.
“Associated Credit Union is a foundational partnership for both of these premier players. In addition to being customers of ACU, each shares the same values and each prioritizes giving back to causes that impact their communities. Brock, Malaki, and ESM are thankful to have ACU team up to share this incredible experience with these deserving kids at Christmas,” said Dan Everett, ESM Partner.
Brock Bowers and Malaki Starks helped the students pick out shoes, toys, and clothes. This event helped make the holiday season a joyous and memorable one for both the players and students involved. Bowers and Starks have a NIL partnership with Associated Credit Union that promotes the credit union through marketing and public relations activities, including digital and print media, and participate in select fundraisers.
“Through the ACU Foundation's 2022 Making Caring Count Program, members and employees make the season merry and bright for kids - young and old. Helping to provide Christmas gifts to 16 students was a meaningful opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to ACU's 3rd Pillar, Our Community,” said Prisca Walters, Foundation Coordinator at Associated Credit Union.
