Capital Credit Union promotes Schmidt
BISMARCK, ND (October 1, 2024) — Melanie Schmidt was recently promoted to director of human resources at Capital Credit Union. She has also joined the credit union’s Management Team.
As director of human resources, Schmidt serves as a resource to credit union managers and employees on all human resource related topics. She is responsible for administering all aspects of the Human Resources Department including benefits administration, employee relations and regulatory compliance. Schmidt also guides the credit union’s direction on compensation, performance and budget and assists in special projects.
Schmidt has more than 10 years of experience in human resources and has been with Capital Credit Union since September 2021, most recently as a senior human resources specialist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from Dickinson State University. Schmidt and her husband live in Bismarck with their children.
