Melanie Schmidt was recently promoted to vice president of human resources at Capital Credit Union. She has also joined the credit union’s Senior Management Team.
As vice president of human resources, Schmidt provides strategic leadership and oversight of all human resources functions, aligning people strategies with organizational goals. She will partner closely with the credit union’s Senior Management Team to drive talent management, employee engagement, compensation and benefits strategy, compliance, and organizational development while fostering a high performing, engaged workplace culture.
Schmidt has more than 11 years of experience in human resources and has been with Capital Credit Union since September 2021, most recently as director of human resources. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from Dickinson State University. Schmidt and her husband live in Bismarck with their children.
