Carolina Foothills Federal Credit Union Celebrates Grand Opening of Mauldin Branch

SPARTANBURG, SC (June 10, 2022) — Carolina Foothills Federal Credit Union (CFFCU) celebrated the grand opening of its sixth branch in the Upstate. Mayor Terry Merritt, Carolina Foothills CEO Scott Weaver, and Board Chairman Isaac Dickson spoke to an audience of CFFCU employees, Credit Union members, and representatives from the Mauldin Chamber of Commerce.

Located in Mauldin behind the CVS Pharmacy at the intersection of West Butler Road and Ashmore Bridge Road, this branch location will serve existing members in the area and allow CFFCU to serve a new community in the Upstate.

“This new Mauldin branch will bring new financial opportunities to those in the community and give existing members another location to speak with us face to face,” Scott Weaver, president, and chief executive officer at CFFCU, said. “While members continue to bank digitally and we improve those virtual facilities, we also understand the benefit of having physical locations where your neighbor works behind the counter. We see this branch as an opportunity to expand our consultative services and increase our local presence in this growing community.”

CFFCU provides financial literacy training in Greenville, Spartanburg, and Cherokee counties and believes this Mauldin branch will further advance these financial literacy initiatives. Members of the credit union can take advantage of these workshops led by certified financial coaches.

Carolina Foothills is looking forward to advancing member finances and providing an alternative banking option in the Mauldin community.
