Case Credit Union and Option 1 Credit Union to Share West Road Facility in East Lansing

Lansing, MI, 11/28/12 – CASE Credit Union is pleased to announce that it will be sharing the Option 1 Credit Union facility at 2400 West Road in East Lansing beginning in early in 2013.

This sharing of theWest   Roadbranch is an excellent opportunity for both credit unions.  By sharing this branch, CASE Credit Union will maintain its presence near the Meijer store onLake Lansing Road.  And, Option 1 Credit Union has found the right business to fill space too large for their needs.

As of December 31, 2012, CASE Credit Union will be relocating from its Meijer locations to expanded space throughout the Greater Lansing region. This transition has been initiated because of Meijer’s decision to move a national bank chain into its stores.

CASE Credit Union President and CEO Jeffrey Benson, CPA, MBA, says “Our Meijer branches are not large enough to facilitate the growth that we’ve been experiencing. It gives us the opportunity to focus on obtaining larger branches for our members—with drive-ups, something we’ve wanted to do for a long time.”

“This change is a great opportunity for CASE,” says Benson.  “With this change, we will be able to provide our members with more accessible, convenient service by opening stand-alone branches. We are delighted to be able work side by side with Option 1,” states Benson.

Established in 1936 by Lansingarea educators, CASE Credit Union is a full-service financial institution serving 30,000 members and managing more than $210 million in assets.
