Central Credit Union of Florida gets casual for kids, supports Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida
PENSACOLA, FL (May 25, 2021) — Kicking off on April 30th and continuing the support for several Fridays after, employees at Central Credit Union of Florida proudly wore their “Casual for Kids’” t-shirts to promote awareness for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida. The credit union purchased these t-shirts with all proceeds going to the foundation so that it can continue the mission of providing free housing for children and their families receiving medical care in the Gulf Coast region.
“It’s a cause that hits home with several of our employees who have had personal experience with the Ronald McDonald house in other areas of the country when their family was in need of their services,” states Barbara MacNeil, Community Liaison at Central Credit Union of Florida, when asked why the Credit Union continues to support the charity as part of their philanthropic endeavors. “To be able to give a family the comfort of a home away from home and keep them close to their child in the hospital with no added financial stress, is a goal that Central is proud to support.”
Casual for Kids is the largest annual fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida. Open since 1984, the local Pensacola facility has provided sanctuary and resources for more than 20,000 children and adults.
