On July 15th, 2021, Central Credit Union of Florida will make a donation to United Way of West Florida after collecting school supplies at each of their Pensacola locations. Happening now through July 14th, each CCU branch lobby is serving as a drop-off site where members and non-members alike can bring in school supply items to be included in the donation for students in the Escambia and Santa Rosa County school districts. After July 14th, Central Credit Union of Florida will present the collection from the supply drive along with a monetary donation to United Way of West Florida.
“Many of our team here at Central have children in these school systems and understand how essential it is to ensure all students in our communities have the tools and materials they will need throughout the school year,” states Todd Cunningham of Central Credit Union. “Helping our youth succeed is very important to Central Credit Union and we’re excited to once again be able to lend our support to the United Way of West Florida for their ‘Stuff the Bus’ program.”
Last year, the United Way of West Florida was able to distribute over $50,000 in supplies and over 1,000 backpacks containing the donated items from the supply drive. To find a complete list of needed items and all drop-ff dates and locations, please visit http://www.uwwf.org/STB.
