LAKE MARY, FL (November 3, 2014) – CFE Federal Credit Union will need to add a few shelves to their already-crowded trophy wall.
The credit union has been voted Best Credit Union in Central Florida by readers of the Orlando Business Journal. The publication invited readers to vote for their favorite businesses in more than fifty categories. CFE garnered the highest number of votes among all nominated businesses.
The prestigious distinction comes just weeks after CFE was named Community Service Champion and a Top 10 Company to Work For in Orlando by the Orlando Sentinel. CFE was also listed as one of the nation’s Top 30 Credit Unions to Work For in 2015 by Credit Union Journal, a national trade publication.
The recognition comes during a period of record growth for CFE. The $1.5 billion financial cooperative has experienced a 10% increase in membership during 2014. Much of that growth is the result of strategic alliances formed with two regional institutions of higher education, the University of Central Florida and Seminole State College. CFE is utilizing these connections to attract younger members and teach them lifelong financial management skills.
