Childs and Boesch continue service on NASCUS Credit Union Advisory Council

NASHVILLE, TN (September 8, 2014) –- The NASCUS Credit Union Advisory Council held its 2014 Annual Meeting on Sept. 10 in Nashville, where two state credit union CEOs began new terms on NASCUS’ Credit Union Advisory Council. The credit union membership is governed by the Advisory Council, a group of 12 directors who are credit union executives from around the country.

Linda Childs, TNConnect Credit Union, Tenn., will continue to represent District 2 for a new three-year term, expiring in 2017. Representing District 3, Jason Boesch, Energize Credit Union, Okla., will also continue to serve as a director for another three-year term. Childs has served on the Council as a director since 2005, and Boesch was first elected to the Council in 2008.

The remainder of the Advisory Council includes the following members: Parker Cann, BECU, Wash.; Bob Fouch, Corporate Central Credit Union, Wis.; Patty Idol, Mountain Credit Union, N.C.; Ron McDaniel, California Credit Union, Calif.; Loren Rush, Universal 1 Credit Union, Inc., Ohio; Richard Stipa, TruMark Financial Credit Union, Pa.; Catherine Tierney, Community First Credit Union, Wis.; Mike Williams, Colorado Credit Union, Colo.; and Terry West, VyStar Credit Union, Fla.

The Executive Council also elected its officers. Idol is chairman-elect and West is the secretary. The annual meeting also marked the end of Tierney’s chairmanship; Childs assumed the chairmanship.

“We are excited about what the future will hold for NASCUS credit union members and for the state credit union system with Linda as the chairman of the NASCUS Advisory Council,” said NASCUS President and CEO Mary Martha Fortney.
