Christian Community Credit Union awards $63,000 in scholarships
(June 2, 2014) — Christian Community Credit Union’s “Scholarships for Success” Program awarded $63,000 in scholarships to 63 students in 2014. Recipients were selected based on their essay, academic excellence, extra-curricular activities and references. The Scholarship Program is offered each winter and awarded in May. This was the first year that the Credit Union began offering multi-year scholarships of $1,000 per year. Scholarships are available for undergraduate and graduate students who are members of Christian Community Credit Union.
“I’m so thankful to Christian Community Credit Union for their generous support of my education. Attending college has been a journey of faith and the Credit Union has been an answer to prayer and played a part in enabling me to pursue both my educational goals and the calling I believe the Lord has given me,” said Kristen Bothel, Life Pacific College student.
“Your contribution is a huge help to my family. I’m appreciative of the work the Credit Union does in my life and in the lives of others. It’s a privilege to be part of a Credit Union that cares for my financial stability and furthering God’s Kingdom! Your generosity is helping me gain the tools to further the Kingdom in the business world as well,” said Heather Hurlock, Biola University student.
“Thank you! What a blessing to help me move forward in my program and practice good stewardship at the same time,” said Serenity Miller, Indiana Wesleyan University student.
“Thank you for choosing me for the $1,000 annual award. It will help me tremendously in my studies. The Lord is good and I will forever be grateful. You have supported my goals and dreams! Stephanie Ann Serpas, Cal Poly Pomona student.
