Christian Community Credit Union offers a $25,000 matching gift fund to Mission Aviation Fellowship for Nepal earthquake relief
(May 29, 2015) — In response to the multiple earthquakes in Nepal, Christian Community Credit Union is partnering with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) to offer a $25,000 matching gift fund for Nepal earthquake relief. The matching offer ends June 30, 2015 or when the match has been met—whichever comes first. The funds for this donation come from the Credit Union’s “Cards That Give to Missions” program, in which a portion of the Credit Union’s interchange income (fees merchants pay to card issuers) is donated when cardholders use their Credit Union-issued credit cards for purchases.
“We are so grateful that Christian Community Credit Union is partnering with MAF to aid the people of Nepal who are suffering terribly following the recent earthquakes,” said John Boyd, MAF President/CEO. “This matching grant will allow MAF to coordinate relief flights to communities that have been cut off from help, delivering food, water, medical personnel, tarps for shelter, and other forms of aid. We give thanks for every person who responds with a gift from the heart.”
