Christian Community Credit Union partners with Biola University for affinity credit card, donates $40,000 for scholarships

SAN DIMAS, CA (October 1, 2014) — Christian Community Credit Union has partnered with Biola University to offer the Biola Visa card, an affinity credit card that will generate thousands of dollars toward Biola student scholarships. The Credit Union also donated $40,000 for scholarships as part of a $240,000 commitment to Biola over the next five years.

“We are pleased to partner with Christian Community Credit Union on the new Biola Credit Card,” said Dr. Barry Corey, Biola University President. “Thanks to the Credit Union’s generosity, cardholders can join our efforts in making a Biola University education more attainable for future generations of students, knowing that a portion of every purchase with this card supports scholarships!”

For every new Biola Visa card, the Credit Union will donate $100 to Biola University to help fund scholarships. Plus, each time a Biola Visa cardholder uses the card for purchases, the Credit Union makes additional donations–at no cost to the cardholder.

“It’s an honor and a blessing for us to partner with Biola in establishing an affinity card program that aligns with their mission of equipping students to impact the world for Christ,” says John Walling, Christian Community Credit Union President/CEO. “The potential for scholarships through the Biola credit card is great. And, the more Biola Visa cardholders there are, the greater the donation to scholarships!”
