Christian Community Credit Union partners with Thousand Pines to offer $10,000 matching gift fund for camp scholarships
SAN DIMAS, CA (June 5, 2015) — Christian Community Credit Union is partnering with Thousand Pines Christian Camp and Conference Center to provide a $10,000 matching gift fund to help more children benefit from a Christian camping experience this summer. These funds will provide scholarships for children to attend a week of summer camp at Thousand Pines. The matching offer ends June 30, 2015 or when the match has been met—whichever comes first. The funds for this donation come from Christian Community Credit Union’s “Cards That Give to Missions” program, in which a portion of the Credit Union’s interchange income (fees merchants pay to card issuers) is donated when cardholders use their Credit Union-issued credit or debit cards for purchases.
“We are grateful and thrilled to receive a $10,000 matching grant from Christian Community Credit Union to provide scholarships for kids who are not able to afford camp this summer,” said Mike Pate, Executive Director, Transformation Ministries Camping. “Every dollar received will help a young person to have a life-changing week at Thousand Pines Christian Camp!”
