Co-op Services Credit Union hosts free indoor movie night at Westland Shopping Center
Families invited to watch The LEGO Movie on June 21
LIVONIA, MI (June 12, 2014) — Co-op Services Credit Union is hosting a free movie night, featuring The LEGO Movie, from 7 p.m. to 10 pm. at Westland Shopping Center on Saturday, June 21, 2014. The family-fun event will be held in the mall’s East Court.
“You can wear your pajamas, and bring pillows and sleeping bags so you can be comfortable while watching the movie on a huge inflatable screen,” said Jeremy Cybulski, Co-op Services’ youth and community development coordinator. “Our Rock Star mascot will be on hand to greet families as they arrive.”
The credit union will also provide free popcorn and water while supplies last and have lots of giveaways including Rock Star cups and Rock Star LEGO coloring pages. There will also be contests to guess how many LEGO bricks are in a jar and “Name the LEGO Movie characters” contest. One lucky winner will receive a 150 dollar mall gift card to Westland Shopping Center.
According to Patrick Derrig, marketing manager for Westland Shopping Center, the East Court provides a great indoor venue for this type of event which would normally be held outdoors.
“The mall’s East Court offers great ceiling heights to accommodate the huge movie screen which also provides great natural acoustics,” said Derrig. “Being indoors, families will not have to worry about the bugs or weather. Thanks to Co-op Services Credit Union we are able to show a free movie that’s current and enjoyable for the entire family.”
Cybulski added, “We welcome the opportunity to give families in our community a fun and memorable way to kick off the first day of summer.”
