Papillion, NE (December 11, 2025) |

Cobalt Credit Union is proud to announce that through its annual Holiday Helping Hand initiative, a total of $50,000 has been donated and shared among 25 nonprofit organizations across the communities it serves.

Since the program’s inception, Holiday Helping Hand has been a cornerstone of Cobalt Credit Union’s commitment to community support, providing financial assistance to organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of local residents. This year’s contributions will help nonprofits continue their vital work in areas such as food security, housing, education, health services, and youth development.

Greg Fripp, Founder and CEO of Whispering Roots, shared: “We have been extremely busy, with demand for our services at an all-time high given everything that’s been taking place in the community. The timing of this donation is wonderful!”

Robin Larsen, President/CEO of Cobalt Credit Union, added: “In the spirit of giving, we are honored to extend a helping hand to our community, providing crucial support to those in need. These donations, along with numerous other community-oriented activities we engage in throughout the year, underscore Cobalt’s commitment to fostering a stronger, more compassionate community.”

As part of the Holiday Helping Hand tradition, Cobalt employees are invited to provide input on the recipients, ensuring that the donations reflect both organizational priorities and the voices of those who live and work in the communities served. By distributing funds across multiple organizations, the credit union ensures that support reaches a wide range of causes and communities throughout Nebraska and Iowa.
