Community Financial Credit Union returns $400,000 to its member bonus dividend

BROOMFIELD, CO (January 8, 2014) — Community Financial Credit Union (CFCU) today announced that it will distribute $400,000 to reward its most loyal members as part of the Member Bonus program.  This program was designed to return the cooperative’s earnings back to its members.

More than 3,200 members are eligible for a Member Bonus and will receive amounts ranging from $5 to nearly $3,500 The Member Bonus is calculated based on the amount of interest and dividends earned on deposit accounts, as well as interest paid on loans.

“Last year was a very exciting year for Community Financial Credit Union,” said Greg Hill, president. “We broke ground on a new Broomfield Branch and completed a merger with Boulder Municipal Employees FCU.”

Hill continued by saying that despite the growth, the Credit Union is in great shape financially and will pay out the largest Member Bonus to date. “We are happy to be able to reward our most loyal members this way,” Hill stated.

Since 2008, Community Financial Credit Union has given back $2.1 million to its loyal members. In fact, the Credit Union was awarded the Member Benefit Award from the Credit Union National Association in 2013 for its Member Bonus program and the outstanding value provided to each member household.
