Community Resource Federal Credit Union’s employees serve up a hot holiday meal to the homeless

ALBANY, NY (December 10, 2013) —  Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless (IPH) serves an afternoon meal five days a week at its Sheridan Avenue, Albany drop-in shelter. The shelter is a respite from the cold — a place to sit for a while, take a hot shower, pick up mail, or get counseling services. One day a year, IPH serves a festive Holiday Meal, which Community Resource Federal Credit Union has helped with for several years.

“It makes me happy to volunteer at the Holiday Meal. The people are so appreciative and it gives me a chance to reflect on the meaning of Christmas, which is to give to others,” said Wendy Meola, Director of Marketing for Community Resource Federal Credit Union. Community Resource’s employees served the Holiday Meal on Tuesday, December 10, 2013.  The meal was catered by Century House Restaurant and fed 100 men, women, and children.

Community Resource Federal Credit Union is a community credit union serving those who live, work, worship, or attend school in Albany County and their families.  Community Resource provides friendly service, outstanding rates, and low fees on a full range of financial products.  Community Resource has $70 million in assets and 6,300 members.
