Community Resource Federal Credit Union’s employees volunteer at Grassroot Givers’ holiday party

ALBANY, NY (December 20, 2013) —  Community Resource Federal Credit Union’s employees volunteered at Grassroot Givers’ Holiday Party for residents in need on Wednesday, December 18, 2013.  The event included a meal that was donated by Four Corners Luncheonette in Delmar, NY and served by Community Resource’s employees.

“I’m glad that I had the opportunity to help. It was an awesome turnout and everyone was in such great spirits,” said Kira Quintana, a Member Service Representative at Community Resource Federal Credit Union.

Guests were entertainment by musician Joy Belle and a book giveaway, which allowed guests to take as many books as they wanted. Community Resource’s employees wrapped books for guests to give to their families for Christmas. In total, the employees served 168 meals and gave out nearly 400 books. This was the first event held in Grassroot Givers’ new location (former Albany YMCA, 274 Washington Avenue) since it opened this summer.
