Eureka, CA (January 10, 2025) |
Compass Community Credit Union, a not-for-profit member-owned financial institution that serves those who live, work, or worship in Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties since 1951, recently sponsored two fundraising initiatives in support of local charities.
As part of the credit union’s annual holiday party, Compass staff were invited to participate in a 50/50 raffle, with a chance to win cash. The remaining funds were donated to the Eureka-based Boys & Girls Clubs of the Redwoods. Compass was honored to present this wonderful organization with a check for $1,000.
Additionally, Compass once again supported Toys for Tots. Compass members and staff were encouraged to stop by one of the branches during the holiday season and donate unwrapped gifts for the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots Program. To help kick off the toy drive, Compass generously donated several new toys in each branch towards making a difference for loyal children.
“Credit unions are all about supporting the communities we serve,” said Ray Litchfield, President and CEO of Compass, “and we’re happy to give to these two great organizations during the holiday season.”
