Consumers Credit Union announces Groundbreaking for Grand Rapids offices to open this fall

KALAMAZOO, MI (May 29, 2014) — Consumers Credit Union is pleased to announce that construction has begun on two new office locations in Grand Rapids. A formal groundbreaking open to the media will take place on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Gaines Township location at 1673 68th St. SE, Caledonia, MI 49316.

Both offices will feature the latest in banking technology, including touch screen access to financial education and an online and mobile banking center for account access and demos. The 3,200 square foot floor plan consists of a full service lobby with a free coffee bar, children’s play area, and free wireless Internet access, along with a loan and member service area, drive thru lanes, and outdoor ATM.

Bosch Architecture is the architect for both offices, and Kalleward Group is the general contractor. Work at the Gaines Township site has already begun. Construction at the Cascade site, located at 5597 28th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512, will follow within two to three weeks. Both projects will take approximately six months.

Each office in this new market will offer the full range of Consumers’ services, including new accounts, loans, credit cards, mortgages, investment services, business services, and more.
