Over the last four decades, Bruce Cormode’s accomplishments have made an undeniable impact on the credit union core processing industry. Cormode joined core processor Corelation, Inc. in 2013 to build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with the company’s third-party vendors. Throughout his tenure at Corelation, his responsibilities expanded beyond just vendor relations, adding HR and administrative duties as the Chief Administrative Officer.
“Bruce Cormode has been an incredibly important piece of this organization; Corelation would not have been what it is today without Bruce,” shared Corelation Founder and Chairman John Landis. “I feel blessed and honored to have been a part of Bruce’s amazing career.”
Cormode’s successful career began with a programming position at a local San Diego credit union where he was instrumental in launching a number of the organization’s key services. When his first opportunity to join a core processing company arose in the late 1980s, it felt like a natural transition for Cormode. The same was true when he had the chance to join Corelation.
“Over the years, Bruce and I have worked together in many capacities. He has been my manager, my sounding board, my coworker, but of all the titles he has held, he is the best at being a friend,” remarked Corelation President/CEO Theresa Benavidez.
As Cormode prepares for the next chapter of his life, the profound influence he has had on his colleagues is apparent from the lasting, cherished friendships he has built throughout his career.
“Reflecting on the impact Bruce has had, I am left with tremendous gratitude,” commented Corelation Chief Revenue Officer Tim Maron. “Thank you, Bruce, for being a phenomenal leader, for the compassion you’ve shown in that leadership, and more importantly, thank you for being a friend.”
When asked what he will miss the most in retirement, Cormode said the people at Corelation.
“What will I miss the most about Bruce? The answer is very simple: everything,” added Benavidez. “I thank Bruce from the bottom of my heart for all his contributions to Corelation and for his friendship.”
Corelation wishes Bruce Cormode long lasting happiness in his retirement. He will be missed dearly by all at Corelation.
