Credit union welcomes Carolyn Burnett, VP of Business Banking/Senior Commercial Loan Officer

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA (December 12, 2022) — UVA Community Credit Union is pleased to welcome Carolyn Burnett as Vice President of Business Banking and
Senior Commercial Loan Officer. In her new position, Burnett is responsible for the implementation of strategic initiatives, providing support and resources for small business loans, and providing commercial banking solutions for Business members. The Credit Union works with community businesses to finance commercial real estate, construction, equipment, and vehicle loans, as well as providing capital solutions.

Burnett brings with her 15 years of experience as a commercial relationship manager and over a decade serving the Charlottesville area. She is a graduate of James Madison University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance and is currently enrolled in the UVA Project Management Graduate program.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Burnett understands that working together strengthens the financial wellness of our members and local communities. She currently serves on the Center for Nonprofit Excellence board, and the Community Investment Collaborative loan committee. She is involved with the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, and was recently a competitor in, and champion of, the Shop to Stop Hunger campaign that raised money, food donations, and awareness for the community.
