CU Solutions Group acquires Canada-based CU Training

CU Solutions Group commits to long-term support of Canada’s credit unions, promising additional investments into the learning management software and other complementary solutions

CU Solutions Group (CUSG) and CU Training announce CUSG’s acquisition of CU Training’s learning management solutions suite and related assets in Canada. CUSG had previously acquired similar assets for the U.S. market in 2019.

CUSG plans to commit additional resources, in conjunction with various HR software partners, to expand and enhance the delivery of learning management software and content to both credit union and non-credit union organizations in Canada and the United States. CU Training will continue to operate as a Canadian subsidiary of CUSG with a dedicated staff presence in Canada, ensuring Canada’s credit unions will experience the same excellent service to which they are accustomed. CUSG will likewise maintain dedicated U.S. operations, based in Michigan.

CUSG, serves nearly 2,000 credit union and non-credit union organizations, and is experiencing rapid growth with its core products, including Performance Pro, Compease, The Learning Center, Planning Pro and MemberXP, as well as other technology, marketing and advisory services.

CU Training and CUSG have worked closely together over the past year to more than double the number of customers subscribed to The Learning Center. With several strategic alliances in place, CUSG expects the number of customers to grow even more in the coming year.

The Learning Center is a feature-rich learning management system, backed by excellent content and a dedicated team with extensive experience. The new integrated functionality with Performance Pro allows credit unions to tie courses to specific competencies and skills that employees are developing in their current position, as well as positions they hope to be considered for in the future. This functionality maximizes the value organizations see from their learning and performance management systems.

The transaction closed on February 3, 2021.
