BISMARCK, ND (August 22, 2014) -- On August 21st, CUAD’s President/CEO Robbie Thompson accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge that was presented to him by Black Hills FCU’s CEO Roger Heacock, and then went on to extend the challenge to presidents of neighboring credit union leagues, including Scott Sullivan, (Nebraska), Mark Cummins (Minnesota), and Tracey Kenyon, (Montana).
Staff at CUAD quickly raised $140 to contribute to the ALS Association in addition to meeting the challenge. “We are happy to support this fundraiser that assists people and their families that are dealing with this debilitating disease” said Thompson. “We look forward to seeing the videos of those we have challenged as well” he added.
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has gone viral, and as of Thursday, August 21, the ALS Association has received $41.8 million in donations, according to their website.
