CUAD’s Youth Savers program gets exciting new look

(December 3, 2013) — Pee Wee Penguin, CUAD’s youth savers program, has been a successful marketing tool for credit unions since 1988, helping kids to learn about smart savings habits and how they can become financially savvy credit union members. In addition to advocating financial literacy, the Pee Wee Penguin program helps kids learn to understand what credit unions are really about.

Now, CUAD is excited to announce that our Pee Wee Penguin youth savers program is getting a new look – and is expanding to include two additional characters.  In addition to Pee Wee, the program will now include Sheldon and Kiwi.  Each character is designed to appeal to a certain age group, and they will all help young credit union members to become smart savers!

About Pee Wee Penguin

The Pee Wee Penguin youth savers program, a division of the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas’ Service Corporation, was established in 1988.  Since then, Pee Wee has been helping kids to learn about smart savings habits and how they can become financially savvy credit union members.  In 2013 the program was revamped to include a new logo, new characters, new website, and an online electronic shopping center.
