CU*Answers fills three board seats

GRAND RAPIDS, MI (June 24, 2015) — CU*Answers, a 100% credit union-owned Cooperative, announced today that three credit union CEOs had been chosen by their peers to serve a three-year term on the CUSO’s Board of Directors. Chris Butler, CEO of Community CU in LaCrosse, Wisconsin; Scott McFarland, CEO of Honor CU in St. Joseph, Michigan; and Don Mills, President & CEO of Alpena Alcona Area CU in Alpena, MI, all incumbents, were elected at the CU*Answers 2015 Annual Stockholders Meeting held on Wednesday, June 17th at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

To encourage participation this year the organization launched an aggressive series of announcements and reminders to owners, resulting in an increase in the number of votes cast compared to previous years. It was the third year in a row the organization offered an electronic voting option, and candidates posted campaign messages on the organization’s public election information website, which also contained details about the bylaws changes.
