CUANY announces new CULAC/CUPAC trustees

ALBANY, NY (May 30, 2014) — The Credit Union Association of New York’s board of directors has appointed the following four individuals to the Credit Union Legislative Action Council/Credit Union Political Action Committee (CULAC/CUPAC) board of trustees:

·         Paula Stopera, President/CEO, CAP COM FCU (Albany);

·         Michael Mattone, AVP Public Relations/Corp. Communications, Municipal CU (Manhattan);

·         Wayne Winkler, CEO, Mid-Hudson Valley FCU (Kingston); and

·         Meghan McGee-Pelkey, Marketing Specialist, UFirst FCU (Plattsburgh), Young Professionals Commission.

CUPAC is the Credit Union Association of New York’s state PAC and funds raised for CUPAC are contributed solely to state and local candidates who support credit unions.   CULAC is the federal PAC that contributes funds to candidates for federal office who support credit unions.

“Each of the newly appointed trustees are talented leaders within the credit union community and will enhance our CULAC/CUPAC efforts on many levels, said Pamela Heald, President/CEO of Reliant Community FCU and Chair of the CULAC/CUPAC Board of Trustees.

The Credit Union Association of New York has served as the trade association for the state’s credit unions for 96 years.
