CUANY, NY credit unions raise $16,500 for CMN Hospitals

ALBANY, NY (March 20, 2014) – The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals that serve New York will receive more than $16,500 in donations, thanks to a statewide fundraiser held by the Credit Union Association of New York (CUANY) and New York credit unions last month.

Following the theme of “Brighten a Child’s Heart,” CUANY and participating credit unions raised funds by hosting staff dress-down fundraiser days Feb. 14 and selling heart icons in their branches throughout the month of February.

The group raised more than $8,250, and funds were then matched by CO-OP Financial Services’ Miracle Match Program.

“We are proud to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and this fundraiser was a great way to leverage statewide cooperation and make an even greater impact,” said CUANY President/CEO William J. Mellin. “We also want to thank CO-OP Financial Services for supporting our fundraiser through their generous matching program.”
