CUES®, CO-OP Financial Services bring Payments University honoring Stan Hollen to the industry
MADISON, WI (July 5, 2016) — In the coming year, CUES and CO-OP Financial Services will bring a new payments program to the industry. Payments University will feature a blended learning format that combines live-taught online courses with classroom sessions led by world-class instructors. The unique format and robust agenda will provide students the knowledge they need to develop a comprehensive payments strategy and prepare for an uncertain and rapidly changing competitive landscape.
“Top business school faculty members will facilitate hands-on coursework on identifying and responding to “weak signals”–those emerging opportunities and challenges that can make or break your payments strategy. Participants will also dig deep into designing the next generation of payments for their credit union members,” said John Pembroke, CUES’ president/CEO. “Payments University will help credit unions compete in today’s market and prepare them to be the leaders in payments in the future.”
“We’re happy to collaborate with CUES on this important school, which was developed to honor Stan Hollen, following his retirement as CO-OP CEO,” said Sarah Canepa Bang, executive vice president, industry relations, CO-OP Financial Services.
“To further honor Stan’s contributions to the industry, CUES is funding two Stan Hollen Scholarships,” said Pembroke. “The scholarships will pay the tuition in full to two deserving credit union leaders.”
Attendees who complete all course work and assigned projects will earn the Certified Payments Strategist (CPS) designation. Watch cues.org (www.cues.org) for more on Payments University and the scholarship application materials in the coming weeks.
