CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec Finalists Announced

MADISON, Wis.— The judges’ results are in! The five Finalists for the CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec challenge are:

  • Jill Huls, Conexus Credit Union, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada
  • Ashley Kohlrus, Allegacy Federal Credit Union, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA
  • Nate Muniz, Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA
  • Cas Scott, Community CPS Australia, Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia
  • Peter Walker, OSU Federal Credit Union, Corvallis, Oregon, USA

The Top 15 entrants were determined by public vote. Since the results of that vote were announced in early August, all 15 have been providing updates to their projects at www.NextTopCreditUnionExec.com.

“The judges had a very difficult job, reviewing the initial application video and subsequent blog post, and determining which Finalists they felt should move forward in the competition,” said Fred Johnson, CUES’ President/CEO. “These five Finalists were selected from a very highly qualified group. The judging was not easy; we applaud all of the applicants for their hard work to promote their projects, and of course for the great work they are doing at their credit unions. Now, we congratulate the Finalists, and look forward to learning about their projects’ progress between now and the final presentations at CEO/Executive Team Network in November.”

In addition to two coaching sessions provided by DDJ Myers, the five Finalists each receive registration, accommodation and airfare to CUES’ CEO/Executive Team Network ( http://www.cues.org/cnet ) in Manalapan, Fla., November 4–7, 2012. While in Florida, the five Finalists will face off for the grand prize, a CUES educational package valued at $20,000, and the honor of being named the CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec.
