CUNA announces 2018 CU board and committee members recognized through Volunteer Achievement Program

WASHINGTON, DC (January 10, 2019) — Credit union board and committee members earned more than 400 certificates through CUNA Volunteer Achievement Program (VAP) in 2018, setting themselves apart as more informed and involved assets to their credit unions.

Some of the most common certificates earned included:

  • Board Financial Literacy Certificate
  • Board of Directors Basic Certificate
  • Edward Filene Certificate
  • Supervisory Committee Basic Certificate

“These credit union board and committee members have honed their skills in leadership, strategic thinking, financial management, and other key competencies through VAP,” said Maegan Monson, instructional design manager at CUNA. “The recognition they’ve earned translates directly into applicable skills that they can use at their credit unions.”

Twelve different certificates and pins can be earned through CUNA Volunteer Achievement Program by completing various courses.
