Madison, Wis. – Performance evaluations have long played a role in compensation decisions and the management of employees. However, these evaluations are evolving from one-sided conversations to open, honest dialogue between manager and employees. When active coaching is incorporated, these evaluations can help to drive organizational goals within a credit union.

The white paper, entitled “Performance Evaluations in the CU Industry: Updating a Tired Task to Drive Change & Goal Achievement,” outlines the various ways credit unions can update their evaluation processes to better encourage change in employee behavior, as well as to integrate goal creation and skill development.

The white paper also features case studies from four credit unions that have established effective evaluation strategies that help them to drive the organization forward.

CUNA Council members are entitled to complimentary copies of these and more than 300 white papers; non-members may purchase the white papers for a price of $50 per copy.

The papers are available online in the white paper section of www.cunacouncils.org – select the “HR/TD” tab for both.
