CUNA Lending Council celebrates 1,200 members
Madison, WI ( May 2, 2014) — The CUNA Lending Council has reached the milestone of 1,200 members, a result of several years of impressive growth and a collective commitment to striving for excellence in the credit union industry. The Lending Council is now among two CUNA Councils with membership in excess of 1,200.
“The Lending Council continues to grow not only because members appreciate the value of an organization devoted to learning and sharing with peers, but because the lending business is becoming more and more challenging with every year,” says Bill Vogeney, Lending Council Executive Committee Chair and EVP/CLO at Ent FCU in Colorado Springs, CO. “I can’t imagine being in the credit union lending business in a leadership capacity without being a CUNA Lending Council member.”
Gayle Rust Gustafson, Lending Council Membership Committee Chair and VP Lending at Rivermark Community CU in Beaverton, OR adds, “reaching this milestone reflects that the Lending Council is the key source for credit union lenders to connect with peers nationally, obtain information and resources quickly from other lenders, and to grow professionally. Lending is complex, and these resources are invaluable for anyone managing lending programs and strategies.”
Credit union lending leaders who are not yet members may join 1,200-plus peers by joining the Council at www.cunalendingcouncil.org. The Council’s 2014 National Conference is set for November 2-5 at the Hilton Bayfront in San Diego, CA. Sessions will include a focus on consumer, mortgage and business lending topics as well as strategic and leadership issues.
