CUNA Releases CUNA Volunteer Achievement Program eBooks

Madison, WI (July 10, 2012) –CUNA recently released CUNA Volunteer Achievement Program (VAP) modules in an eBook format. These modules, designed for use on iPads, Nooks, computers and other devices, are the first credit union specific training modules available as eBooks.

“We are very pleased to offer our VAP modules as eBooks,” said Kevin Smith, Director of Volunteer Education at CUNA. “With our new eBook format, credit union volunteers will have more convenient options to get the information and the training they need, whether they are in the office, at home, or on the road.”

By completing VAP modules and the corresponding exams, credit union volunteers will have the opportunity to earn a wide variety of recognitions, awards and pins. The following VAP titles are now available as eBooks:

  • V02   Financial Reports for Volunteers, 5th edition
  • V03   Managing Risk, 6th edition
  • V305   The Basics of Risk Assessment for Volunteers
  • V409   Financial Management, 3rd edition
  • V415   Asset-Liability Management for Directors, 2nd edition
  • V428   Understanding the Audit Report

CUNA Volunteer Achievement Program offers credit union volunteers pertinent credit union information and training in a convenient, flexible format. Through individual, self-study courses designed specifically for board members, these professionals gain the philosophical and financial knowledge needed to assist in their decision-making responsibilities. In all, VAP features more than 40 quick-reading courses on topics such as credit union fundamentals, board of directors and supervisory committee fundamentals, leadership, marketing, planning and regulatory compliance.
