CUNA Young Professionals Committee helps develop future industry leaders

WASHINGTON, DC (October 7, 2021) — Supporting CUNA’s efforts to develop emerging credit union industry leaders is the primary objective of the nine-member CUNA Young Professionals Committee. The committee’s key responsibilities include young professional education, leadership development and political Involvement.

“Serving on the National YP Committee is an honor,” said Christian Hartley, branch manager at Kessler FCU. “I walk away from each interaction fired up about the future of credit union young professional development and what that looks like from a national perspective. I’m so thankful to CUNA’s leadership for allowing us this space, and to be willing to hear what is needed to continue the credit union mission for generations to come.”

“I’m excited to work with the committee as they serve to provide CUNA with advice and guidance for enhancing young professional-centered initiatives,” said Kienan Shaw, instructional design manager at CUNA. “Their insights are key for us to support young professionals in their roles within the credit union industry.”
