Curql welcomes Fund Manager Elizabeth Caven
DES MOINES, IA (March 21, 2023) — Curql Collective, a CUSO sparking innovation in fintech for credit unions, is pleased to announce the addition of Elizabeth Caven to the Curql Fund as Principal. A seasoned entrepreneur, Caven is a tech founder with experience in venture funding and scaling through acquisition.
Previously, Elizabeth invested in and worked with startups through gener8tor, a nationally ranked accelerator ecosystem. Her work with early-stage companies has spanned various industries, including investing in insurtech startups in partnership with Allianz Life and Securian Financial. In her last startup, Caven built a customer base across all 50 states and 83 countries and invented a technology to modernize an antiquated paper-based system.

Caven has received international recognition as a stand-out leader from acclaimed tech publications, the Small Business Administration, and APEC. She is certified in CUNA Board Financial Literacy by the Credit Union National Association. She serves as a director of Wings Financial, a Minnesota-based institution with $8.5B in assets, served on the Veridian Credit Union board for nearly ten years, and sat on The Veridian Group CUSO board for over six years. Caven holds a Bachelor of Arts in business and Spanish from Cedarville University and a Master of Business Administration from IE University in Madrid, Spain.
