CUs eye runoff election in Alabama

WASHINGTON, DC (July 17, 2018) — The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and its political action committee, the Credit Union Legislative Action Committee (CULAC), are closely watching the competitive race of credit-union friendly candidate, Rep. Martha Roby (R-Ala.).

As Alabama voters head to the polls on Tuesday, the League of Southeastern Credit Unions and the Credit Union Legislative Action Council are strongly supporting Rep. Roby who will face off against former rep Bobby Bright.

In June 5 primary voting, Roby led all candidates with 39% of the vote in the Republican primary, but failed to get 50% of the vote, necessitating a runoff.
