DATCU Credit Union Announces New Promotions for David Frazier, Dee Dee Peterson, and Sonya Thompson

Denton, TX – DATCU Credit Union is pleased to announce and congratulate three employees for recent promotions.

David Frazier has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Accounting.  Prior to this promotion, David was Director of Accounting.  He joined the credit union in August 2010 upon graduation from the University of North Texas where he earned a BBA in Finance.  In his new role, he will serve as the primary resource in all aspects of accounting ensuring that accounting activities comply with established legal, regulatory, and Credit Union procedures.  He will assign, direct, and appraise all accounting staff again assuring that the DATCU’s Accounting Department supports the overall goals of the Credit Union and that accounting services are delivered professionally and efficiently.

Dee Dee Peterson has been promoted from Regional Branch Manager to Assistant Vice President of Branch Operations.   She has held multiple branch management positions at the credit union since she joined them in 2005.  She is a 2010 graduate of Southwest Credit Union National Association Management School and a 2011 graduate of Leadership Denton.  She will continue to oversee DATCU branch locations Denton Main Downtown, Denton North, Denton South, our new branch in Sanger opening spring of 2013, and the Teleservices department.

Sonya Thompson has also been promoted from Regional Branch Manager to Assistant Vice President of Branch Operations.  Her leadership role will include oversight of branch operations in Aubrey, Flower Mound, Lewisville, The Colony and the Trophy Club branches.  She has been with DATCU Credit Union since 2003 and holds a degree in organizational leadership from Southern Nazarene University.  She is currently working on her Master’s Degree at Texas Woman’s University. Ms. Thompson is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Flower Mound and a 2007 graduate of Leadership Lewisville.
