Dawnville Elementary Melody Makers serenade Georgia United Credit Union members, receive surprise $500 donation

DALTON, GA (December 17, 2014)  Georgia United Credit Union’s Dalton Branch Manager Vonda Bledsoe says that the Dawnville Elementary Melody Makers have a holiday tradition of visiting and singing Christmas carols at her 605 Calhoun Street branch location every December.   As the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders serenaded Credit Union members and employees with Christmas carols in the lobby of Georgia United today, the Georgia United team had a little surprise for the chorus this year… in the form of a $500 donation to the school and gift bags for all the chorus.

Assistant Branch Manager Theresa Jordon commented, “The Dawnville Melody Makers have been serenading us for many years and we wanted to do something nice for their school.”  Everyone who heard the group agreed, “There is no sweeter sound than children singing!”
