Day Air Credit Union gives back in multiple ways this holiday season

KETTERING, OH (December 20, 2023)It’s that time of year  again. Day Air Credit Union is excited to unveil the impact of this annual giving season. Day Air once again supported organizations and community members throughout the Miami  Valley, with gifts of support, education, and time.

Day Air partnered with the Dayton Dragons Foundation to sponsor a 50/50 raffle that raised $22,500. Proceeds from the raffle went to Crayons to Classrooms – a non-profit that provides  essential supplies to teacers of at-risk students across the Greater Dayton Region to ensure that every child has the tools they need to engage, learn, grow, and fully experience the transformative power of education.

Day Air’s Kettering Branch and Contact Center partnered with the City of Kettering to bring the holiday spirt to all families through the Kettering Giving Tree program. The Giving  Tree Program ensures every child in the Kettering School District receives a gift this holiday season, no matter  what the financial situation of their family may be.

The Day Air Centerville Branch partnered with Centerville High School for the CHS Backpack Program. This  year, 60 backpacks were filled and donated to St. Vincent De Paul. Day Air’s Beavercreek Branch also made  an impact this holiday season by donating to Violence Free Futures in Xenia, a non-profit that works to end  family, domestic, and sexual violence and to provide safe housing for families in Greene County.

Day Air didn’t forget about the police officers this season either. The York Commons Branch donated to Shop  with a Cop, which pairs local families with Butler Township Police Officers to pick out items they need such as  clothing, boots, and coats. They also get to the opportunity to purchase a toy for themselves or gifts for their  loved ones. Veterans receiving dialysis at the Dayton VA Medical Center received holiday gift bags from the  Day Air VA Branch.

“Day Air Credit Union puts a lot of effort into our holiday giving every year to make sure everyone in the  communities we serve is able to enjoy the holidays with their families,” said Bill Burke, President and CEO.  “Together, we can bring some holiday magic to the members of our community.”
