Day Air Credit Union provides concert tickets to local veterans

KETTERING, OH, (August 12, 2014) — Day Air Credit Union, in collaboration with Buckeye Harley Davidson and K99.1 FM, is providing tickets to veterans to the Buckeye Back Roads Summer Jam concert benefitting the Dayton Children’s Medical Center and K99.1 Cares for Kids Radiothon. Day Air Credit Union distributed tickets to local AmVets, VFW, American Legion posts as well as other local veterans.

“We partner with many veteran centered organizations, so it just made sense that we provide tickets to the concert to our local veterans,” said William Burke, President and CEO of Day Air Credit Union. “Day Air is heavily involved in the local community and wants to say thanks to all those that have served in the U.S military. This is just a token of appreciation for all the sacrifices that these men and women have made defending our freedoms.”

The Buckeye Back Roads Summer Jam features country music star Craig Morgan. Mr. Morgan comes from a military background as well. He served in the U.S Military, including over ten years of active duty serving in the Army’s 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions, followed by another nine years in the Reserves serving well into his music career. Since leaving the military, he has remained a fervent supporter, travelling into some of the most dangerous places on earth to entertain our troops. “I was one of the first artists to go into Afghanistan,” says Morgan, who won the 2006 USO Merit Award.

This is just one example of Day Air Credit Union living the cooperative spirit and demonstrating care and appreciation within the communities we serve. To learn more about Day Air Credit Union visit www.dayair.org.
